Melody Burt
Melody was raised on Bainbridge Island, Washington, and most recently lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, until January 2004, when she moved to Bocas del Toro for a new life, starting her own real estate company. After 5 years of Bocas under her belt, she has been very successful and opened another office, Beyond Boquete Real Estate, in David.
Melody has a husband, 2 grown sons - whom she’s very proud of - and 6 adorable grandchildren back in the U.S. She’s a business woman with over 20 years of experience in auditing and accounting and has traveled the world for fun and as a professional photographer and English teacher.
Besides photography and traveling, Melody has many interests, such as art, nature, non-fiction reading (as reality can knock the socks off fiction any day) and writing. Someday she hopes to write a book about her travels. One of her favorite sayings is, "so many countries, so little time!"
Andrea Johnson
Andrea was born and raised in Bainbridge, Georgia. She attended Mississippi State University where she obtained a degree in Finance. Since she was a child she had always wanted to live at the beach, so she packed her bags, moved to Seagrove Beach, Florida, and became a Florida Licensed Realtor.
Having heard about and seen pictures of Bocas del Toro, she just had to come and check it out for herself. Her life changed when her feet hit Bocas. She knew this was what she had been looking for all her life. A lot of people talk about moving to the Caribbean, but she made her dream a reality. After marrying her husband, Mark, in the Dominican Republic, the two of them, joined by their children (dogs) Abby and Pepper, headed for Bocas del Toro, which they now call home.
Andrea and Mark's success in the Florida real estate market steered them to work together at Beyond Bocas Real Estate. With their experience and knowledge (and southern accents!!), they will greet you with a big smile and find that special spot in paradise you’ve been looking for! If they are not in the office, you can spot them cruising around town with the “kids”.
